You Know You Work in Fashion When-
1. A ‘look’ has nothing to do with ‘seeing’- anything.
2. The word ‘set’ means that you’ve just been blown off by a celebrity stylist or publicist. (Used in a sentence: “thanks, but she’s set”.
3. Alternatively, the word “set” also means “at a shoot”. (Used in a sentence: “So sorry I didn’t call you back, but I’ve been on set all day.”
4. You wouldn’t dare say “photo shoot” because obviously anyone who works in fashion knows what you’re referring to and that you didn’t kill anyone.
5. The word ‘pull’ has nothing to do with pulling, but rather with choosing.
6. You say things like “Whose is that?!” and expect a designer’s name as the answer.
7. You don’t need to watch movies like ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ because you live it and run errands way faster than Andi ever could.
8. You multi-task with the seriousness of running the CIA.
9. If you wanted to, you could go to at least three events a night, every night of the week. Well, you know, “for work”.
10. You kiss everyone on both cheeks, just in case.
11. You feel trends so deep in your bones that they actually hurt.
12. You’re bored to tears on New Year’s Eve because you’ve been writing the ‘new year’ since September.
