I am thrilled to announce that #UK2012 is an Official Honoree at The 17th Annual Webby Awards in the Native Advertising category. As you might recall we made this little film (in partnership with Iced Media) to announce the re-opening of our London DKNY store on Old Bond Street around the same time the Olympics were about to begin. Playing off the concept of FOMO (fear of missing out) we invited some of our social fashion friends and some of our newer Twitter friends to star in this scripted social media conversation. The result? Fake social media became real social media and ultimately, the ‘new’ press release.
“With 11,000 entries received from all 50 US states and over 60 countries, the Official Honoree distinction is awarded to the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.” Whoop!!
